With the TuneECU Version 5.2.xx there is a change, from this version a distinction
is made between the license for private individuals and dealers.
Private individuals can register up to 5 bikes in TuneECU with their purchased license;
the registration process is self-explanatory up to and including Android version 10.
From Android 11 and up:
To register one or up to five bikes, connect successively to the bikes, when done you must go in the menu "Help", <version of the App> (the email from the programmer is in this window) and click on "Register". Select the Google account you used to purchase TuneECU, click "OK", send the programmer an email with the "Bikes.usr" file in the "TuneECU" folder and he will send you the license file for your Bike (your bikes) back.
Unfortunately, this procedure is required due to the new security guidelines in Android 11.
Update march-03-2021
With the latest TuneECU version (5.2.16), on Android 11 you no longer have to send a file to the developer to register a motorcycle.
The license file will be generated and stored on a server, that's why this new version requires the permission for internet access.
If you already have a license file, it has to be copied to the TuneECU directory before opening the new version, or you can always register your motorcycle again in the menu "ECU info" button "Register" when connected to the bike.
The same procedure is used for registration with Android versions 6 to 10.(As of march-03-2021)
Procedure for the registration process / to acquire the dealer license:
First establish a connection to a motorcycle, then disconnect the connection
and go to the Help menu (3 dots / Help) and click on "App version (5.2.xx)".
Now click the "Buy Pro License" button and follow the instructions.
After receiving and entering the transaction number in TuneECU, which is for the dealer license,
the "bikes.usr" generated in the TuneECU directory must be sent to the programmer, who
then sends you the "user.lic" back. This file must then be copied into the TuneECU folder.
The dealer license is for an unlimited number of bikes. (As of Feb-25-2021)

Adapters Bluetooth tested
The following Bluetooth adapters are not suitable for models that can be reprogrammed via Bluetooth (see Bikes List).:
This is not an exhaustive list. |
Note: We can not know all the devices on the market or future devices.
We can make a reliable statement only about the devices, that we have tested ourselves.
Of course, since we are private people, we can not constantly buy and test devices from all manufacturers.
References to other Android devices and Bluetooth adapter, which work with the Android
version of TuneECU, are gladly accepted.
